Interior
Design
All members of our design division have graduated from a four-year CIDA accredited
program in Interior Design.
Scope of services during a project typically includes the initial programming
phase, followed by schematic design, when preliminary spatial relationships
and furniture, finish, and equipment selections are chosen. Design drawings
such as elevations and perspectives are completed during the design development
phase and FF&E plans and specifications are then created for construction
and installation of the space.

Architectural
Planning
Architectural planning begins after an analysis of the client’s
needs and goals. Measurements are recorded and applicable building, life
safety, and accessibility codes are reviewed. Consultants, such as engineers
and the construction division, are conferred with before final working
drawings are completed in AutoCAD.
These drawings include floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations
of casework or specialty areas, sections, etc., as required. Construction
documents are subsequently finalized. The design, architectural planning,
and construction departments then work closely to facilitate a cohesive
and successful project.

Construction
The construction process begins with a thorough understanding of client
needs and expectations, comprehensive planning, and the concept of
an overall final design. As a fully insured contractor with
an unlimited general building license and
serving the southeastern region for over 15 years, Cornerstone’s
construction division provides a legitimate way to turn concepts
into reality. Specializations in the residential and commercial
fields are wide-ranging and include custom-built fine carpentry,
interior and exterior renovation, commercial shell buildings, ADA
modifications, and tenant fit-ups.

Commissioned
Artwork
Our firm retains two accomplished artists capable of creating made-to-order
artwork for residences or commercial spaces. A variety of media can be
chosen to realize a particular style or ambiance of an area. Renderings
of building interiors and exteriors can be prepared to aid in visualization
of a future project or to depict a favorite piece of architecture or
landscape. These can be done in pencil, marker and pen, or watercolor.
Commissions for abstract paintings and black and white photography are
also accepted.
